Microsoft Entourage Updates
The supported Apple Mac email client for College staff using the new Exchange service is Microsoft Entourage 2008. Entourage can be obtained by installing Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac. In order to resolve a known error with the base version it is then necessary to install two updates, linked to below. Both updates are required:
- Install Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Service Pack 1 (12.1.0)
- Install Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Service Pack 2 (12.2.0)
The instructions below outline how to configure Entourage in such a way that your email is stored on the Exchange server and not on your computer. This means that you can access all your email anytime via Outlook Web Access (OWA) from any computer with internet access. Following the instructions below you will be able to send and receive email using Entourage on your own computer from any location without having to change any mail server settings, even when outside the College network.
