Configuring Microsoft Outlook
The supported PC email client for College staff using the Exchange service is Microsoft Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010. Microsoft Outlook is part of the Microsoft Office package. On the Apple Mac Microsoft Outlook 2011 is part of the MS Office 2011 package.
The instructions linked to below outline how to configure Outlook in such a way that your email is stored on the Exchange server and not on your computer. This means in addition to using Outlook on your own computer that you can also access all your email anytime via Outlook Web Access (OWA) from any computer with internet access. Following the instructions below you will be able to send and receive email using Outlook on your own computer from any location without having to change any mail server settings, even when outside the College network.
If you wish to configure Microsoft Outlook 2007, 2010 or 2011 please follow the configuration instructions below. If you are using an earlier version of Outlook please contact the IS Services Helpdesk for assistance updating to a later version.
