Visiting Student Module Enrolment for full-year and semester one visiting students will open at 12 p.m. on 8 September and close at 5 p.m. on 26 September.
Please be aware that the module directory is currently being updated.
To pick your modules, please submit them using the enrolment form. If you wish to remove any modules afterwards, you can include remove them by using the removal form. Please be aware that it can take up to 48 hours for your modules to appear on your student record.

Things to remember
Your module enrolment choices are subject to timetabling constraints. Students are not permitted to take clashing modules i.e. where one module takes place at the same time as another module.
Neither module/tutorial will be registered on your record until the clashing is resolved with the relevant academic department(s)/school.
A full academic year is equivalent to 60 ECTS. Students attending Trinity College Dublin for the full year are expected to take a minimum of 45 ECTS. Single term students are expected to take a minimum of 20 ECTS and maximum of 30 ECTS.
The Academic Registry is responsible for the administrative process of module registration only. Any queries in relation to course content, course requirements or clashes should be directed to the relevant academic school.
Your enrolment is not final until your school reviews and accepts your choices.
Students are advised to have /additional modules in case of timetable clashes or if module capacity has been reached.
Please note EU/Erasmus students must select a minimum of 50% of ECTS in their Trinity Department, as specified in the acceptance letter.
Trinity Electives
Trinity Elective for for full-year and semester one visiting students will open at 12 p.m. on 8 September and close at 12 am. on 12 September
Undergraduate visiting students may take up to one Trinity Elective per semester. The application process for visiting students takes place in early September and early January. Please be advised that there is no change of mind period for your Trinity Elective modules so make sure to choose carefully!
To enrol on a Trinity Elective Module, please follow the steps below:
- Review the Trinity Elective information for each module on the Trinity Electives website.
- Log in to your my.tcd.ie.
- Click the new tab “My Programme” on the home screen.
- View the list of Trinity Elective module(s) eligible as part of your programme.
- Select the Trinity Elective Module you wish to enrol on by clicking the Add button.
- Click Submit selections to enter your Trinity Elective module.
- Click Confirm selections to enrol on your selected Trinity Elective module.
- Your timetable will display your Trinity Elective module 24 hours after confirming your enrolment.
Please be aware that Trinity Electives is not open to postgraduate visiting students.
